RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani on Monday thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif for his efforts that led to the recovery of Ali Haider Gillani. The former prime minister along with son Ali Haider Gillani called on the COAS at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday. During the meeting, the former prime minister expressed his gratitude to the army chief for his support in the recovery of Ali Haider Gillani.
On the occasion, Ali Gilani told General Raheel Sharif that he was the only person in Pakistan who is feared by the Taliban. During the meeting, ex-PM Yousaf Raza Gilani discussed issues concerning national security and the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb. Ali Haider Gillani returned home on May 11 this year after three years of captivity in Afghanistan.
