A video went viral on social media earlier this week showing a woman carrying an ‘unconscious’ infant, along with other passengers, on board of a PIA flight demanding the flight crew to open the door because the air conditioning of the plane had stopped working.
The video, of a Paris-to-Islamabad flight, showed passengers shouting and gasping for air in the rising temperature. The woman can be heard pleading for help, as she complained that her infant was facing difficulty in breathing.
Meanwhile, in a statement on Wednesday, PIA spokesperson Mashood Tajwar said, “We are investigating but it is not yet clear when this video was recorded as we did not receive reports of any such incident”. Mashood further said, “We are trying to identify the crew visible in the video to determine the flight number. The PIA spokesperson assured that after receiving the required flight information, the matter would be investigated and those responsible will be held accountable.
