LAHORE: Funeral prayer of the martyred army officer Major Ishaq were offered in Lahore on Thursday.
The deceased’s body will be laid to rest in Cavalry Ground Army Graveyard with full army protocol.
Punjab Cheif Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Corps Commander Lahore Lt Gen Amir Riaz, Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saeed Rafique attended the funeral prayers.
Speaking to journalists, his mother said that she is proud of the fact that her son is a martyr.

“My son is a Hafiz-e-Quran. And Almighty has given him martyrdom. I am proud of him,” she said.
Earlier, the funeral prayer of the deceased was also held at Dera Ismail Khan, and was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other high-ranking officials, including Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Nazir Butt.
The ISPR said 28 years old Major Ishaq, a resident of Khushab district of Punjab, is survived by a widow and a year old son.
